Heart PALS Plus & Skills Training Session
The PALS Plus Course is a pediatric advanced life support (PALS) course for more experienced pediatric healthcare providers seeking advanced educational content. The course teaches more than the traditional PALS curriculum and includes 9 additional modules related to pediatric emergencies.
The full course includes an online portion consisting of HeartCode PALS Online and the student’s selection of at least 6 of the 9 PALS Plus Advanced Modules, combined with a HeartCode PALS skills session with an Instructor.

Who should take the course?
The PALS Plus Course is for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies, cardiopulmonary arrest, and other emergent and critical conditions in pediatric patients. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, physician assistants, hospitalists, advanced practice/registered nurses, advanced level prehospital providers, and others who desire additional advanced educational content beyond the traditional PALS course.
Course Format
PALS and PALS Plus Skills Session $400: PALS Plus Skills sessions are the hands-on component, that combined with the online modules done directly through the American Heart Association, provide PALS and PALS Plus course completion. The skills sessions are done in our facility and are led by AHA instructors. Skills sessions cannot be completed without first completing the online modules and providing course completion certificates. Here’s how to download your completion card.
The online course, which includes HeartCode® PALS Online and the student’s selection of at least 6 of the 9 PALS Plus Advanced eLearning Modules, is a separate fee and can be found at https://shopcpr.heart.org/courses/pals.
What to Bring
Please arrive 15 minutes early and bring:
Valid driver's license or ID.
ACLS Academy will supply pen, paper, and a folder that includes all of the documents you will need.
After Completion of This Course
Upon successful completion of the hands-on skills session, PALS Plus students receive a PALS Provider eCard with the special designation of “PALS Plus” to indicate that they have completed the advanced modules and have met all course completion requirements for a standard PALS Provider eCard. Certification is valid for 2 years.
