Master Critical Care Skills and Team Dynamics

The initial course focuses on the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition, and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). The course focuses on the materials review, core competency, and hands-on demonstration.

Our Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course covers the following:

  • Define systems of care. 

  • How the use of a rapid response team (RRT) or medical emergency team (MET) can improve patient outcomes.

  • Recognize and manage Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), stroke, respiratory arrest, and cardiac arrest.

  • Recognize bradycardia and tachycardias that may result in cardiac arrest.

  • Perform early management of cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care. 

  • Evaluate resuscitative efforts.

Variations of the Course

  • ACLS Provider $325: Traditional instructor-led two-day course

  • ACLS Renewal $275: Traditional instructor-led one-day course

  • ACLS Skills Session $170: ACLS Skills Sessions are the hands-on component, that combined with the online modules done directly through the American Heart Association, provide ACLS course completion. The hands-on sessions are done in our facility and are led by AHA instructors. Skills sessions cannot be completed without first completing the online modules and providing course completion certificates. Here’s how to download your completion card.

What to Bring

Please arrive 15 minutes early and bring:

  • Valid driver's license or ID.

ACLS Academy will supply a pen, paper, and a folder that includes all of the documents you will need.

After Completion of This Course

After you complete and pass our Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course, you will be able to recognize and provide intervention for cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and work in a team setting. You will also receive your ACLS certification.
